ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking action against organisers of Aurat March.
An IHC bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah dismissed the petition after hearing initial arguments of the petitioner’s lawyer.
The judge directed the petitioner to approach the relevant forum to have his grievance addressed before moving the high court.
Advocate Chaudhry Abdul Rehman contended before the bench that an objectionable march was organised on the occasion of this year’s Women’s Day in different cities of the country.
The participants of the march went against Islamic traditions, he said, adding it hurt public sentiments.
